♡ FAQ’S

ARE FALSE EYELASHES NECESSARY AND CAN I OPT OUT OF USING THEM?
In my opinion, false eyelashes complete a full makeup look. The finishing touch adds that extra glam to any look, whether it be natural or dramatic. Prices will remain the same even if opting out of lash service (Lashes are included in all makeup applications).

IT’S LAST-MINUTE, BUT CAN I BOOK AN APPOINTMENT TODAY?
Yes, but it would depend on my availability. Feel free to send me an email (Makeupbyae@yahoo.com) with all your service details, and I will get back to you as soon as possible & let you know if I can accommodate you. A 50% retainer would still be required to book last-minute appointments.

WHAT AREAS DO YOU SERVICE?
I service Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach Counties. Travel fees may apply.

DO YOU DO HAIR AS WELL?
I currently offer dry/light hairstyling, this includes curling, straightening & installing clip-in extensions.

CAN YOU RECOMMEND ME A GREAT HAIRSTYLIST?
Definitely, I work with several skilled hairstylists and can recommend one to fit your needs. They come highly recommended, and I have personally worked alongside them and know their work ethic and talent. However, you will need to contact them directly regarding their pricing and availability.

WHY IS THERE A TRAVEL FEE?
The travel fee covers: gas, tolls, mileage, and wear and tear on our vehicles. The preparation and packing of our makeup kits, bags, tools, lighting, chairs, and other materials we need to bring with us to provide on-location services. Our roundtrip time spent on the road.
The time blocked for travel is also blocked off for another client who may also be requiring makeup. Unpacking and setup – once we arrive, we sometimes have to carry everything up stairs, across large resorts/venue areas, etc. on top of actually unpacking everything and setting up. Breakdown and repacking – I sanitize, disinfect, and repack all items back into my kit before leaving a job, to ensure you are getting a clean and organized experience. Breakdown of all lighting and chairs. Once everything is packed up everything must go back into the car.
The travel fee accounts for the time, the distance it takes to get to you, travel costs, unpacking, set-up, re-packing, and the inability to take another client as the time is taken to travel.

WHAT IF SOMETHING HAPPENS AND YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO DO SERVICES FOR MY WEDDING / APPOINTMENT?
In the event of an emergency and the artist is unable to perform, an equivalent artist will be sent in place. If for any reason an artist cannot be replaced the full deposit shall be returned.

DO YOU RECOMMEND A BRIDAL TRIAL BEFORE THE WEDDING DAY?
Although not mandatory, I would highly recommend it. During the trial, we will discuss and try out the makeup style you’ve chosen, tweak it to fit you, and make any adjustments if necessary. Trials also allow you to try different looks and see what you like best. It will also let you wear the makeup for the day and see how it feels and holds up in preparation for your wedding day. Then on the day everything will run that much more smoothly.

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO BOOK A MAKEUP ARTIST FOR MY WEDDING?
It would be best if you started searching for a makeup artist from 6 months to 12 months before your wedding date. However, I tend to get booked up a year in advance, so I strongly suggest booking as soon as possible to make sure you can book your wedding date with your desired artist.

CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE A LARGE BRIDAL PARTY?
Definitely! I can work on up to 5 people by myself. For parties 5+, I will bring an assistant(s) to ensure that all makeup services will be completed promptly without rushing.

HOW LONG DOES MAKEUP APPLICATION TAKE?
I always give all my clients a full hour, just so there is no rushing and may allow buffer time.

I’M HAVING A DESTINATION WEDDING, CAN YOU TRAVEL?
Yes, I can travel domestically and internationally. However, depending on the wedding location, mileage, gas/tolls, flight, transportation, & accommodation would need to be either arranged by the client or the cost can be added to the travel fee while booking your date.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TRADITIONAL AND AIRBRUSH MAKEUP?
The main difference between traditional makeup and airbrush makeup is the way the product is applied. Traditional makeup is applied by hand tools such as a brush, beauty blender, or sponge and it can be worked into the skin for an even finish. Airbrush makeup is applied using a specially-designed airbrush gun and makeup air compressor that sprays the face with a lightweight mist. The choice between traditional and airbrush makeup comes down to personal needs and preferences.

TRADITIONAL MAKEUP: The coverage of traditional makeup can range from light (sheer, breathable, freckles show), to medium (buildable, natural, even coverage), to full coverage (complete even-toned coverage). The finish of traditional makeup can range from natural, dewy, and matte based on the formula. The makeup application can be made to be long-lasting with proper skin prep, priming, and finishing.

AIRBRUSH MAKEUP: A long-lasting lightweight makeup application that is applied through an airbrush machine that produces a thin, even layer of makeup and creates a matte finish. The fine mist of the airbrush foundation is applied in thin layers which cover the skin evenly and gives the appearance of a smooth flawless complexion with no visible application lines. Airbrush shades available are more limited, so foundation tones are mixed for a perfect blend to match your skin tone. Airbrush makeup is weather-proof, sweat-proof, waterproof, and long-lasting. It will not go anywhere until you wash it off.
